I have been trying to find the Fog Light switch for the center console from a number of dealers. The part number I used came up unavailable for sale in US. My local dealer parts guy keeps giving me the "Wal-Mart employee in the headlights" look.

Any idea where I can get this switch. I am looking to install two sets of aux lights to the front and roof rack and I would love to use factory switches in that location instead of the cheesey aftermarket ones.

Can any of my XC70 brothers overseas lend a hand?

Switch, auxillary lights, part. No: 9166 090
Aux Light mounting kit, part. No: 9499 563

John,
Try VLVworld.com
They are in the Great White North..
Give 'em a shout.
I have ordered some stuff from them over the years, a bit slow on the
delivery, but the price was right.

If no luck with that website, I can give it a try. I live in Norway and visit Chicago almost every month. Just send me a mail, and I'll try to help. (It's sunday today, so I can't check those partnumbers right away)

Hi John,

Are you looking for just the mounting kit and the switch without the 2 lights?
If so I believe the part you mentioned is not correct.
The complete Aux light kit has part. no: 9499 563-6 which you mentioned is correct.
It includes the plug and play cable harness, brackets, screws...etc.
But the switch part no: 9166 090-2 is for the 2 x "Alpha 175" lights.
and also 9166 091-0 is for the Alpha 175 light covers.

I'm not sure, but perhaps the switch only comes with the Volvo "Alpha 175" lights, and not available seperately? Where did you obtain the part numbers from?

FYI, the only swich listed available seperately is the Alarm sensor switch (9499 760-8) Everything else such as power folding mirror switch and the Aux light switch are not listed.:(

Pls also note that the mounting kit requires a special drill bit for assembly(8633 152-7) Just thought you might want to know. ;)

Cheers
