Hello gurus!
On my Xc70, MY 2001 - the radiator fan now and then won`t start. The symptoms are:
When driveing in rush hours in low speed (and the temps in Norway is not high), the temp indicator shows raising temp - very close to the red mark. the fan is off-course not running - if stopping the engine under such conditions the fan is not starting. And on its own will the fan suddenly starts.
Under normal conditions when shutting down at home (the temp indicator has indicated normal temp) - often the fan starts to run, but shuts down again after a second or two, then repeats this for a periode of time.
Always when toweing a small trailer max weight 600 kg, when shutting down at home (the temp indicator has indicated normal temp) - the fan starts to run, but shuts down again after a second or two, then repeats this for a periode of time.
The car has been at a Volvo garage twice and they are not able to reproduce the problem - so no items are replaced yet.
Are anyone who have experienced the same symptoms, if so, which part or parts have been replaced.
