Keep on hearing the OSD guys talking about this fellow named Jason.. does he work for Volvo's OSD program? A salesman?

Is he aware of this site?

Sounds like more than a couple of you know who he is, and I'm out of the loop! Enquiring minds want to know... http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Jason Borsh is the Volvo OSD coordinator here in Irvine, California. He's the point of contact between the car dealerships and Volvo in Sweden. Apparently he handles all the paperwork that dealers submit for brand new OSD orders. He has the last word on all OSD sales. His email address is {removed} but don't contact him directly. He mainly talks to salesperson. I have it because my salesperson accidently forwarded a piece of email from Jason to me.... http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

edited by coastal: sorry steve, thought it'd be best to omit that email address. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Jason Borsh is a VCNA employee as far as I know and is located in CA at

VCNA, LLC
Tourist & Diplomat Sales
One Premier Place
Irvine, CA 92618-2922

Jason handles all the OSD orders for the Western states (and maybe more).

My sales person has tp get the OK from Jason on just about everything related to the OSD order. For example, the free Premium package seemed to have quietly been dropped when I went to order and I had my sales person and his manager go bat for me with Jason. It was Jason who OKed the $25 for the rear 12v outlet. My dealership wanted over $200 for this but another forum member kersti was able to secure it for $25 per Jason -- so I had my salesperson use kersti's info (ie this forum) to secure the 12v $25 outlet for myself as well from JASON. Hey -- Jason is the man http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Apparently it's Jason who has the final word on all OSD details and pricing and supposedly deals directly with OSD folks at the factory to work out the fine details of what can be done and what cannot.

QUESTION: Is Volvo's OSD program the legal mechanism for dealing with the USA auto import quotas?

QUESTION: Does Volvo or some other outfit post/report the OSD order count for the year?

Jason is the person who has signed my OSD invoice papers.

Jason appears to be a reasonable man IMO.

Jason IS the man.  More so, he's reasonable, quick to respond, knows what he is doing, and has been known to be quite flexible in order to honor Volvo's reputation and provide exactly what you need.  Do him a big favor though and contact him through your SALESPERSON not directly.  He's busy and we all want him to remain a nice guy.  Period.

I don't think I would have completed my order without having access to Jason. My OSD dealer representative acted pretty uninterested in my order and seemed very put out by my requests. A day or two before my last day to make changes I called Jason to verify last items I had requested from the dealer and one item had been forgotten. So although all contact should have been thru the dealership, in my case I needed Jason. Also getti ng the color Ruby Red required my convincing Jason.
