Fellow Smart XC'ers

I am simply stumped right now. I would like to change the bulbs on my fog lamps but cannot grasp how to get at them. Do I have to remove the skid plate the access the bulb? Also, while your at it, how about the turn signal bulbs on the left and right front quarter panels. Unless I try to pop off the cover (which does not sound like the right way to do it), the only access is with very skinny fingers with the front doors open.

I would appreciate any help. By the way, I intend to put NARVA bulbs throughout. Any thoughts?

Thanks

The quarter panel signal indicater lights simply push-in and pull-out. It is a snap-type fitting with breakable tongs that hold the units in so be carefull as you remove and install them.

Your on your own with the rest of the lights. I change them by pulling into my dealers service department. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

My advice is to let the Volvo service person snap out and snap in those pesky plastic objects. They (the spring-like tabs) will break easily and more so as they age with time and will cost you more than you want to spend to replace if YOU break them off. IMO they're (the hold down tabs) poorly designed and if they break the light fixture will hang out and will look as if the car is spewing its guts out. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
