A big thanks goes out to Cory and crew at GForce Graphics here in Red Deer. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Very efficient and knowledgable bunch of folks I must add.

Also, huge thanks to Taylor for setting aside a spot in the marketplace for the decals. Great work Bud! http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions for the current/future logo designs, please feel free to offer them up. We opted for the same white outlined font as the original decal since it seemed to go over quite well during the last discussion. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

well, was going to wait until it was warm and dry enough to wash up the car for this, but it now looks like that day's not going to happen for quite some time. So here's some pic of the decal on my car... thanks again to Art for doing this, mucho appreciated!!

Looks great taylor! http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif did you put it only on the side?

Art

Nice to see it viewed from the side Taylor! Either way they look sweet! For the 2nd Gen. decals, we could even look at a different fonts/colors depending on how everyone feels. For the time being though, I personally think that the white outline looks really striking. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I think the white outline looks great!

My company decal (servoweb.com) was already on the back window so I've got it on one side for now... the side most visible while parked beside a sidewalk. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

BTW, anyone ever watch their car when there's lots of walk by traffic? I did once for about 20 minutes while having a coffee saw about 5 or 6 couples stop to take a look. Should set up a brochure holder on the hood.. like what you see here? lol http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

[Art] Its great to know that international orders are welcome. Do you want extra to cover the additional postage charges?

(Maybe a few of us 'down under' could get together and buy a bundle so that there's only one shipment to Oz and then local mail from there.)

Anyway I'm in for two (one either side, as I have stickers for a magazine I write for on the rear window).

No worries Mate, postage is included. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

However, in order to keep costs down, we've had to send the decals out by regular snail mail.

Your suggestion about placing a multiple order is a good one Ron. You can also set aside stickers by e-mailing us at [email protected]

I've already sent out a number of international orders including one from downunder. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Thanks coastal. I'll go get myself a PayPal account...

---------
EDIT: PayPal is offering a $5 bonus to folk for referring someone who joins up. Like to 'refer' me Coastal? :-) I guess that would help with international postage...

Ron, http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

There are some requirements attached to the $5 bonus referral program that you may want to read over. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh2.gif

Paypal Bonus Referral Requirements (http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/referral-faq-outside)

BTW, I'll set aside a couple of stickers with your name on them. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Deposit at least US$250 for the first deposit?!!!

Wow, quite right Art, that's a little more than I had in mind spending through PayPal in the immediate future. Hmm, thinks... ($250 + $5 signup credit) / $3 = 85 stickers! Sure could look interesting if if done by a professional.

Ron,

Signing up as a Paypal member still makes sense even without the sign up bonus. It substantially cuts the waiting time for your order when you compare it to sending your payment through the mail. Once notification is received from Paypal, I can have your order out the door virtually on the same day. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Whoa! Stop! On my 21" monitor that picture of a Volvo backing into my office is pretty scary http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

[Art] OK I've signed up for an international PayPal account, which means payments come directly off my credit card with fees charged by my provider.

When I tried to process the order there didn't seem to be any way of ordering more than one sticker in a single transaction...

Ron, http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

It's just a matter of entering in the $$$ amount. e.g. 1 decal = $3.00 U.S., 2 decals = $6.00 U.S. and so forth...

Once I receive notification from Paypal of your order, I'll confirm it with you via e-mail just to be certain.

Hope that helps. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Perhaps its different for international Paypal accounts. Neither field can be altered - both quantity and $$$ amount are fixed.

Anyway order(s) placed.

Thanks to Kaminaga-san from the XC Club of Japan for displaying this photo of his sticker. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

So far overseas orders for volvoXC.com decals have come from far away as Japan, the Netherlands, Australia, and Portugal. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

The sticker looks excellent and will order it to have it ready for my OSD XC70 come April/May 2003 -- hope you don't change the sticker during my waiting for the XC70 to arrive. Maybe I can take it to the Goteborg factory with me and have it factory installed http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Great to hear Barry! http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

No immediate changes for the decal are planned. Been toying around with the idea of adding some color or perhaps incorporating various flags of nations to give the stickers a more international flavor. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Just a quick question. Do most of you who have purchased the volvoxc decal stick it on you rear windows or the side like coastal.

Hey Eugene, http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Can't say for sure, but I think most have chosen a spot on the rear hatch glass. Looks great in either location!

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions of tweaking the design of the decal, please feel free to comment, otherwise we'll keep it as is. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
