Just noticed that I have had the little 'one-liner' under my name changed from core member (whatever that means) to members..

What does this mean and how does the status change.

Is it time based or does the Wizard of Oz have a daily list of members that he/she can bestow honours on, orshow displeasure?

Has my 'status' changed as I said that I was thinking of moving to an XC90? http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

I wondered about that too.  It seems to be tied directly to the number of posts you have made.  Over time, your status changes because you've crossed from one threshold to another based on posts.  The status changes quickly in the beginning, but slows down as you post more and more.  My status changed at 100 posts, but I think it takes 200 or more for it to happen again.

Yup, it all seems to be about brownie points - incentives to make you come back often.

Up to ten posts one is a New Member - do better
11 - 20 Newish Member Well, OK - acceptible
20 - 30 Member plain ordinary member jogging along in the middle of the road.
31 - 50 Core member The salt of the earth.
51 - 100? XCer Ugh, don't like that description, I think I'll stick in the class below.
101 - ? Senior member That's where you're at NeuDaddi, and you've only been here three months
? to forever Veteran Member Too late, mate your over the hill.

I'm guessing at some of these - after all I'm only posting this for your delectation and amusement.

The whole thing is set up by "the man with the silver car who's front passenger door is partly open". You work it out. I though at first that he had had a nasty accident and too the pic for insurance purposes.

It's heartening to know that some look at the bits to the left and below the post.

It would be very 'nice' if more members would update their location codes and personal avatars - gives one a better view of whom we are responding to.

Have fun this Festive Tide

Perhaps NeuDaddi has more time in the wee small hours to be on the web site with babe in his arms.

Sadly I only had the Paramount Channel (which if I remember finished at around 3am) to keep me and babe 2 company when she was up in the night.

Now that I have a wireless PC tablet, I can sit and surf whilst the rest of the family is watching TV etc, which makes life far more civilised
