With a healthy mix of highways, mountain roads, off-pavement, towing, and city driving, I'm averaging in the 19's (computed). That may not sound great but I think it's fine considering the activities. The worst mileage, 14-16, is poking along back roads in 1st-3rd gears. The second worse, 17-18, is pulling a trailer. Around town, 18-20. Highway, 20-24 depending on speed, terrain and what's on top (canoe, bikes).

Im getting 16-17. I live in a smaller city, not really any highways, its always stop and go... stop and go. You dont really build up much speed or consistant speed in the city. So I guess im on par with what I should be. We have really bad roads...

On the highway, I was getting about 21-22.

I have a 2004, 18" wheels and do a lot of highway driving. Getting about 19.6 - 19.9 MPG.

Which is way better than my old 2000 Range Rover I had before, which was getting about 12 MPG.

We have an `04 xc90 2.5T. My wife gets around 17-18 mpg going to work. She takes backroads (county roads and some subdivisions). It's 20 miles or so one way. My wife is a little bit lead-footed at take-off. When I have driven on weekends when we go back into town for dinner or shopping, I often take the same route she does going to work and get about 20 mpg, but I'm softer on the take-off.
Highway driving we get about 23 mpg.
