I really love my wifes 01 XC but, now she is looking to get out of the lease for tax purposes. She is looking at the SUV market. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

It is a real pain to get out of a lease. I also think it affects your credit report, right? http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

there are 2 ways out, buy out, which is essentially throwing your money away or finding someone to complete the term of the lease.

I'm trying to get some different clickable smiles from the Viper club but it didn't work. This is where I'm getting them from if anyone can transfer them to us. http://vca1.viperclub.org/cgi-bin....sLegend (http://vca1.viperclub.org/cgi-bin/ubb-cgi/smilies.cgi?action=SmiliesLegend)

Check out Swaplease.com. this is a very cool way to get out and into cars. It can be very short term or long term. I almost went for a Boxster this way.. I look at a 9 month remaining lease then the buyout looked great.. the web site does all the bank transfer work. Now as you can see the boxster is out and potentially a '02 XC is in.?. --Bob

Bob
did you mean Swapalease.com ? I tried to find swaplease but It didn't show up. Swapalease seems like a great way to go if you live in the US of A. However, the rest of us are out of luck http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
PS: they do have some listings for Canada (5)

Njord-- your correct its swapalease.com and yes it looks to be a USA primary site. Excellent concept and it creates a new sub niche market.

Jet-- Sorry, I'm really looking to purchase... unless your lease has very low payments and the buyout is very sweat (which would mean you put a lot of money down up front)... and your on the northeast (if thats the case.. you can e-mail me at [email protected]).

Thanks.. --Bob
