1. The sub is definately available for the HU613.
2. I had one of my side markers replaced as one of the clips had broken. Easy replacement.
3. They had #14 VOR edition XC sitting on the showroom floor with graphite interior... very nice! This one had the same bright blue tint.
4. Picked up a cool little coin holder for the center console. Cheap too at only &#3618CAD. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I also bought a ski holder today, but went with the Thule one and not the Volvo branded Thule. I think the "real" Thule looks a little better with the aluminium rails especially on my silver car. It's the Thule 725 6 pair flat.

Coastal-

I mounted the same ski rack last year, just a word of caution; make sure you move the rear cross bar far enough forward, so that if you are carrying long skis in the rack, they do not come into contact with the tail gate when it is in the full open possition. I'm a little annoying when we have freinds skiing with us, I always have to check that no one slid there skis (or board) in too far back.

It's nice to finally hear the news about the subwoofer Coastal. I guess I should probably throw that old brochure out. It almost appears that Volvo changed their mind about this sometime during midyear.

The flat top looks cool on the XC. Judging by the amount of snow you Vancouverites have been getting in the last 24 hrs, you should be able to put that rack to good use.

Dan brings up a valid point about the tailgate coming in contact with skis. Not sure if Adam can back me up on this, but I have the same problem with kayaks. I've noticed a slight abrasion on the glass of the tailgate from a couple of times I forgot to restrain it before it released to it's full upward position. Something to keep in mind, I guess. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Thanks for the tip on that.. though it seems like a very simple thing to watch out for the results can be pretty harsh. :o

I've had plenty of practice with my surfboards over the summer.  Luckily most of the time they're covered in a padded cordura bag so the risk isn't as great as a pair of metal ski tips. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Art,

I've lucked out so far and haven't done any damage. If I remember right, the length of my kayak (and thus how I carry it) contacts the rear wiper blade arm. I think the only couple times I haven't been to careful with the tailgate, my kayak hasn't been strapped in yet so it moved up/bounced a bit. Luckily it didn't do an endo or slide off the front. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Adam,

I guess I'll have to take another look at how I position the boats on the saddles. By the appearance of your photos, it looks like your's is moved farther forward to the front of the car than mine.
