I just passed the 35,000km mark on my XC yesterday. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif
But last night after dinner, the engine would not start even after 3 tries. Then on the 4th it started fine.
During the 3 attempts, the code "045" was displayed on the message screen; and on the 4th when it started the code was gone.
I took the XC in for 35k service this morning, dealer hooked car up to VADIS, but nothing registered in memory except "time for regular service" message. Weird. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif
Now the XC is back, it starts and drives just like normal.

So, any other XCers seen this code "045" or had the same scenario happen before? http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif

Did you park on a hill with a low gas tank?

It was on a flat parking lot with 3/4 tank.
I did make a 5 hour trip prior to stopping though.
But I don't think driving extensively would make any difference? Or does it?

I had a similar problem right after my 22k service. The engine reved up and the car just lurched forward. No code just a check engine light. Called Vovlo and they reccomended a tow to the shop. When the car was unlloaded and started it still had the same message. They turned it off and pushed it into the bay and looked at it later in the day. Guess what no codes no check engine light nothing.... Very wierd anyone seen this type of behavior?http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif?? It is just a little scary to know that this can happen?
