Does anyone here know if VIDA/DICE will work with a Autel Maxidas DS708?

I ask as I have one, and I've just bought a 2003 XC70...

No. Vida is software consisting of a parts catalog, service procedures, with scanning control units and limited programming available with a dice interface. It is designed to be installed on a windows 7 pro operating system. Dice is the hardware interface between your odb port and a usb port on your computer.

Your Autel is a stand alone hand held scanner that plugs into the obd port and displays on it's own screen. You could install Vida for reference on a win 7 machine, and manually look up the codes you retrieve from your Autel, but you would have to convert them to Volvo codes first. (if possible)

I've got the Maxidas DS708, anyway, just wondered if it would work with the Volvo software.
Clearly not, so not big deal, I'll just get the little box of tricks that come with the VIDA/DICE software...
