XC70, 4Runner, or Volkswagen wagon?

Debating between a 2013 XC70, 2010 4Runner, and a 2016 Volkswagen wagon.

All are around $20k and 70k miles (Volkswagen is 15k).

I had a 4Runner from 2003-2013. Loved it.

My wife had a 2003 S60 until 2017. Loved it.

The ratings on the Volkswagen are high. It seems like a better investment.

Please talk me into the XC70!!!?!? I'm losing sleep over this ... grrr ...

All are good vehicles, IMHO.

XC70 and VW are wagons while 4Runner is SUV. Assuming you want a wagon, XC70 is a better choice than the VW (as reflected in price difference). I would say you cant go wrong with either but the XC70 is just a very solid vehicle and the better choice. Also, the XC70 is a top line Volvos whereas the Golf/Jetta is middle of the line.
