2007 XC 70 Gear Shift stuck in park.
It happened once before and I took off the 2 side panels and sprayed it with an electric cleaner and it worked
No luck this time - I can't figure out how to get the plastic faux wood cover to lift off but a few inches - to get better access

Take a look at this You Tube. It shows how to remove the gearshift cover and remove the gearshift knob assy. His problem was pinned down to his gearshift knob assy.
