Driving yesterday, on good tarmac roads," my front near side road wheel hit a very shallow pot hole and immediately threw a warning message ABS needs servicing" and both Brake and ABS warning lights constantly lit. Completing my journey I switched off and then re-started the engine, the warnings were cancelled. Do I need to take any action? I have not seen this in ten years of driving.

The jolt of the pot hole could have moved the axle enough that the tone rings were not in line with the ABS sensor. I would check if any of the axle bolts are loose on the side that hit the pot hole.
