Used to have an MY05 XC70 2.4D SE - 235k miles from new before someone botched the engine ( :mad: ) & I sold it on...
I need a mile muncher & I didn't want to pay much money, so whilst looking for a similar model to previous came across an MY11 2.4D SE with 144k miles. It was also silly cheap & the reason was its an ex-police car. However, police cars get well maintained and serviced every 9000 miles, wanting for nothing so I knew it'd be sound. Went and saw it today and whilst cosmetically its a bit tatty, mechanical its tight, pulls well, no rattles, stops as it should etc. Knocked some money off the asking and did the deal.
I will now be scouring eBay for various bits of trim to replaced stuff damaged/worn over time but can't wait to pick it up in a couple of weeks
