Front and Rear door speaker

hey guys,

i am replacing the front door and rear door speakers in my 2004 XC70, and im just wondering what you guys are using for speakers aside from the factory volvo ones.

Does anyone run Coax speakers up front or did you use components?

What are you guys using???

I installed a set of J/L Audio speakers in a 2007 a few years ago w/Dynamat too.
Not bad. (I forget the model number). 2 way in the rear doors, 3 way+crossover for the fronts

if you're running the standard radio, ADJUSTING the (EQ) sound and keeping the Volvo speakers does not sound bad in a 01-04
05-07 need more help.
If your speakers are shot, that's another story

Adjust here, 01s-04s only:
Don't worry about the stock settings, this is an S60 sheet so the wagons would be different anyway but it's a good starting point.

With the radio switched off, press and hold down [SOURCE], press [Volume] to power
on the radio, and continue to hold down [SOURCE] for at least 5 seconds.
�� Press [SOURCE] to select a function
�� Turn [SOURCE] to adjust value
Function Description
FRONT Low1 3 Adjusts the very low frequencies in the front. Valid values
are from 0 to 6. Factory default for S60 is 4.
FRONT Low2 3 Adjusts the low frequencies in the front. Valid values are
from 0 to 6. Factory default for S60 is 4.
FRONT Mid 3 Adjusts the mid frequencies in the front. Valid values are
from 0 to 6. Factory default for S60 is 6.
FRONT High 3 Adjusts the high frequencies in the front. Valid values are
from 0 to 6. Factory default for S60 is 4.
REAR Low 3 Adjusts the low frequencies in the back. Valid values are
from 0 to 6. Factory default for S60 is 4.
REAR Mid 3 Adjusts the mid frequencies in the back. Valid values are
from 0 to 6. Factory default for S60 is 0.
REAR High 3 Adjusts the high frequencies in the back. Valid values are
from 0 to 6. Factory default for S60 is 6.

Hey JRL, yea i was happy with them until the front speakers blew out, i now have four 6.5 inch two way kenwoods that i am gonna put in all the doors, i also found some adapter brackets so i dont need to do any modifying of the doors. hopefully ill get to putting them in soon and see how it goes
