Upholstery, Seat & Breaking Q?'s from a Newbie

Hello Everyone.
Newbie Questions.
May I ask for assistance, please ?
Twenty-four hours ago I purchased my first XC, a 2001.
Both front seats could use new hides.
Is 446-46 the interior colour code to de-cipher ?
Does anyone know of a source for the seat coverings?
Lastly: Is anyone breaking a 2001 ? I have need of a few parts.

I ran into a similar situation with my '04, and the bad news is that the seat leather is no longer available. I checked with a number of discount Volvo parts dealer sources but all seemed to have the seat leather listed as "NA," not available. What's even more frustrating is that when you call recyclers and junk yards they often say, "Oh those seats are all ruined from suspension parts sitting on them." Or, "Most of those seats are shot, we sell the door and glass and they get ruined by the weather. It's very frustrating. I ended up finding a decent seat at one junk yard in MA, and just restored one of my own original seats with Leatherique products.

Correction: The interior trim code is 8980. Can someone point me to a cross-reference so I can interpret the code ?
