Center Speaker: JBL?

Is the center dash speaker in the 2001 XC70 JBL speaker? The Crutchfield site asks for that information.
If yes, with a special set of harnes, I would be able to maintain the controls on the steering wheel.

Also at Crutchfield, I read this "If your V70 is equipped with a center dash speaker (it's under the grille), you'll lose this speaker when you replace the factory radio." Why so?

Because what you are going to buy has only 4 channels, not 5.

The center speaker is powered by the tuner in the dash, the others in the 4 corners by the amp under the passenger seat. And as others have said a replacement tuner will only have 4 channels.
