I did this a couple of nights ago...
Volvo dealers and I would guess most shops have a few boxes of this thick 15-16"" square padding
Used for the mechanics to soak up oil spills.
I asked for about 10 of these from my parts dept. they were happy to give them to me.
I was tightening everything up for the last time under the subwoofer, spare tire, jack, etc.
I threw a few of these under and around the spare, around the jack and a couple on top of the subwoofer, under the floorboards.
It was like using $100 worth of Dynamat. The entire back end is much quieter and has a nice solid feel instead the the old hollow feel this V70 had and was annoying to no end
Saved hundreds on Dynamat and will grab some more next week for behind the rear side panels. [thumbup][thumbup]
