Any specific volvo-centric mechanic suggestions in the eastside greater Seattle area centered on Kirkland-Bothell-Redmond-Kenmore but anywhere from Bellevue up to Lynnwood ? (I would also be interested in list of bad mechanic shops to avoid ).

What are you looking to have done?
For brakes and suspension, I've been going to Big O tire and or local craigslist mechanics.
For engine work and Volvo specific tasks (timing belt); I've been going to Daisy Wagon in the U-District.
