So I've reset my computer and my I/M readiness tests are incomplete. What can I do to accelerate them so they can complete ASAP? Especially the evap tests. The last time I reset the computer, that one took the longest to complete.

I guess I need to know the, "OBD drive cycle" for this vehicle (2002 V70 XC Turbo).

This article has a generic drive cycle listed, but the specific one for my vehicle should be much more effective.

I found another site that says this is the Volvo cycle:
1.) Accelerate 0-50 MPH within 30 seconds
2.) Maintain 45-50 MPH for 20 minutes without using cruise control
3.) Park car turn of A/C idle for 5 minutes
4.) Accelerate 0-50 MPH within 30 seconds
5.) Maintain 45-50 MPH for 20 minutes without using cruise control
6.) Shut off car and allow to cool for 30 minutes before repeating cycle ( in some cases the car requires two cycles)

But it doesn't specify my specific vehicle, or any specific vehicle for that mater.

Still looking, but I'll try these cycles. I need to pass my California smog test today, because I have a free retest and have to leave the area this evening.

Well, just went for a short drive (about 10 minutes) and all but the EVAP test has passed. What do I need to do to get the EVAP test to pass?

We're at the smog check place right now. The guy said it will pass with the EVAP not ready. We'll see how it goes.

Passed smog. We're headed to the DMV to register it now.
