Help identify little pin from steering column.

Hi Forum,
As I was pulling up the steering column cover in order to pull out the turn signal switch, a little golden pin fell down.
I can't see where exactly it fell from. Everything seems to be working fine without it...Any ideas?

I believe that is the lock pin from the the ignition switch.

I am making a post about this, be sure to read it, but in any event, leave it out! You'll find a tiny spring and a tiny lead looking cap that is about the size of a pencil eraser. Those items will cause an ignition key lock up.
