My wife was driving our 2005 home yesterday and the CEL came on. She said it ran normally the rest of the way home about 10 miles or so. I have the day off so she took our 2001 and I kept the 2005 to ckeck the codes. I took my daughter to school in it, about 3miles total) and it started to make what sounds like valve train noise. It ran fine. Pulled the codes and they are P0026 and P0027. Could this be the timing belt failing? I'm not going to drive it, well maybe about 30 feet into my garage since it's too heavy to push by myself. What should I be checking?

oil level is a bit low but still ok. i was going to do an oil change this weekend. it's the valve noise that concerns me. it is pretty load. our 2001 has a little bit of valve noise but i think that is because it has 223k on it and the o-rings are going bad.

it has not thrown these codes. it seems like they are for both intake and exhaust solnoids.
