Hi, I realize the door lock mechanisms are prone to failure and I did search the forum for some answers. My pax power door lock only works on rare occasions - both lock or unlock. Works ok by hand, but want it to work as it should.
Today I went to the local parts yard and tried to extract the mechanism...got it all disconnected, but could not figure out the puzzle of getting it around the window glide. Yes, I disconnected the electric wires, lock knob, torx, and handle attachment...twisted it every which way and ran out of time. I can go back if there is a trick to it that someone can share and maybe I can do. I though about sawing the door, but after I get this one out, I need to remove the bad one from my "good" car and don't want to cut a big hole in my door to put a lock on it! Thanks for the help as always.
