2007 XC70 what happen to the trailer wiring harness pig tail.

Hey guys
Just pick up a 07 XC70 with 132k and can"t find much info on the factory trailer harness or the "pigtail" like my 01 v70xc had. I briefly talk to my ex volvo teck and he seems to remember the were tucking them in the left fender well and later models were on the right, but he said they were hard to reach. 7470 here is a pic of the new girl.

Looks like Volvo wants to sell you a "trailer module" and Volvo says it needs a software download to make it work

Trailer module is needed but no software download was needed on my '06.
You can get a software download to cut out the cars foglight when towing.

I bought the volvo 'trailer module' for my '04 - the cable came with a rubber boot that is supposed to go out the bottom of the spare tire well (I believe there is a knock-out plug). I only tow occasionally, so I just run it out the tail-gate when I need it.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Went to a local 4 wheel drive shop and he found curt has a harness for around 55.00 and they wired it for a total of 120.00.seems to work perfect nothing blinking in the dash when the turn signals on.
