Door speaker rattle fix update

I took my XC in today to get the rear door speaker rattles fixed as the official Volvo fix kit had arrived...

Well the fix involves removing the speaker grills. Which are bonded on to the door trim. So the only way the tech at my dealer could see to remove them would (probably) involve breaking them.  

So, we are now waiting for two new speaker grills before proceeding with the fix.

Not sure if I fully understand, but wouldn't it be easier by simply removing the door panel to get to the speaker such as in this case (http://www.swedespeed.com/features/tech/multimedia_v70/index9.htm) or are the grills themselves somehow causing the rattles?

But is this a standard fix that Volvo has issued now? (i.e. any Volvo dealer should have this info?)

Yes its a standard fix that Volvo have produced as a kit for the dealers.  One of the mechanics noticed it in some reading material and remembered my car and so ordered it in.
