Yes, Hamburg is cheap stuff with a German sounding brand name for marketing.

Looks like a good cheaper option to Volvo OEM is Lemford control arms on fcpeuro.com for $100 each. I've read here on this forum Lemford is OEM on front bushing which is the weakest part of this control arm.

I wouldn't buy them.

Hamburg Technic may be a German company, but nowhere does it say that the parts are made there...only that their team of engineers oversees production and that some parts are imported.

Couldn't find too many folks who were pleased by the purchase decision...

Just remember, ebay feedback comes right after the purchase prior to realizing that you just bought crap.

Bought the package from them just over a year and a half ago. I would say not to bother. Mine lasted less than a year. Yes I am in the Northeast and drive on garbage roads, but the bushings are garbage and they have failed pretty quickly. Lemforder is what I should have purchased the first time. Live and learn, but you asked if anyone tried these out, and the answer is yes I did, and wish I hadn't.

I did 40k miles on Lemforder bushings, they are still good. Visually there's a trace of future crack, but it was from day 1, because I pressed the bushings in using a bit too short socket, so the rubber was damaged a bit.

Lemforder differs from OE. Maybe they improved bushings design, or Lemforder is not OEM for this car/model year.

The Meyle HD lasted 30-months/ close to 28,000 miles.
The passenger side bushings have separated, hang with bolt.
The front now feel awful over potholes.

IPD sells Meyle HD with 4-year warranty.
Anyone out there with replacement under warranty from IPD?

Our Howard says... pressing bushings is a specialized skills. A DIYer is better off replacing LCA.

Was Lemforder pressed in Volvo control arms?
Any experience with Meyle HD, i.e. pressing Lemforder OR Volvo in Meyle HD aluminum?

There are control arms and there are control arm bushings.
I would say OEM Volvo bushings last as long as any other, maybe more.
Whether they work in other control arms, I have no idea
