Are All XC70 AWD?

I'm new to Volvo but have always liked the XC70. I just got back from looking at a few used XC70 at the Volvo dealership and a salesman said that some XC70 are not AWD and he pointed to some XC70 that had a AWD badge and some that did not have a AWD badge. I thought the V70 was the non AWD version, so whats the deal?

The newer (2008+) cars have used XC70 name for AWD and non-AWD models. Any XC70 from 2007 and prior are AWD.
