Seat Bolt Covers - how to remove without breaking?

The plastic bolt covers on the front and rear of seats, I'm trying to pry them off but, man, they do not want to come off. Not the end of the world if I do break them, but it's one of those little things that I will never replace and it's nice to have them (actually do keep the bolts clean, too)

Rear covers should be able to squeeze and pull straight back with enough force. The front cover have a clip that you can push down then pull back on the seat rail.
