Inner/Outer Tie rod Removal/Replacement for 2008 Volvo XC90, AWD Help

The instruction calls for a counterhold to remove the inner tie rod and I cant even find a place to buy the tool (999 7083). And there is also a limiter?

If I recall correctly, I just used a wrench and tapped it with hammer to break the inner tie rod loose. I think it takes a large wrench though.

I just did this. Loaner Inner Tie Rod tool from O'Reilly Auto Parts worked really well. I turned steering wheel so that it pulls the inner tie rod all the way into the Rack & Pinion, this way you are not twisting the toothed-shaft that the inner tie rod is screwed into, and then turn to loosen, install and turn steering wheel again to do other side.
