Hi, I have a '98 XC70 AWD in really good condition. 179,000 klm. Love the car. Anyhow it started using heaps of fuel and would not idle smoothly.
Took car to a Service centre to put the Vadis over it, and was told the Air/Fuel mix valve was shot and I needed a new one. $370 + labour for fix.
Anyhow, I was checking the engine a day later and noticed a worn/cracked vacuum hose. It leads from the front of the block, and follows another hose over the top near injector cover then behind engine near the timing belt.
I replaced the broken hose with about 5" of 3/8"hose, a couple of jubilee clips, and now problem solved. Less than ten bucks.
Good health to all,
Wayne

I have a 01 xc70. I removed the ac panel. I didn't remove battery cable. I then followed the battery removal sequence, but the ac panel, sun roof, etc are not working. Can anyone help me with what would be the next step? Will I have to take to dealer to have the software downloaded? thx, Dave.

Try locking and unlocking the car 3 times
USING THE KEY IN THE DOOR, NOT THE REMOTE
