Folks,
I never got around to purchasing an extended warranty when the car was new (2007); I was skint in those days. I've heard of being able to buy one from Volvo before the factory warranty expires, but was wondering if anyone has been able to buy one post expiration. My car is 7+ MYs old now. Did you get it from Volvo or a third party? The Volvo dealer (DC/MD) says that in their experience the third party warranties are a ripoff and that these warranty companies decline the bulk of issues that get referred to them.
