I currently use the traditional hose (mouth sucking) and the Penzoil Syphon Pump (with the balloon ball in the middle). The latter is slow but works. Any other pump I should check out and not expensive?

Found this one also by Penzoil but so coincidentally, all four reviews are negative:

Thanks.

I used that same Autozone pump to change fluids in my XC70. It's cheap, the hoses are prone to falling off, but it worked. It's a messy job no matter what you use. For what a shop will charge you for those services, you can buy a new pump when the time comes again. You could use a MityVac to dispense, but it's more expensive. I just use mine to suck out old fluid.

MityVac is what I use.

I have a small hand vacuum pump for the Haldex and the Angle gear, and a large fluid evacuator for the oil changes.
My Y2/P3 has a top-mount oil filter so you can do everything from the top.
