14mm on CV axle

So just got a 1999 with a snapped drivers front CV axle, going to replace myself.

Popped of the dust cap this morning and found the 14mm head staring at me. Have to say I'm hesitant to put a breaker and a pole on it cos its so small.

Am I being a pussy or should I just invest in the impact wrench I've been putting off for so long?

Found a video, grew a pair, got a crisp 14mm socket and boom its out. Now I have to pull the ball joint, oh joy...
