My CCM started getting flaky, so I bought an identical used one on ebay and installed it (problem fixed) and now have an SRS warning. I understand removing the radio and CCM will cause this. I purchased a dice tool and have been playing around with it, but it appears the warning I'm getting is an invalid SRS module ID and I can't seem to clear the code. Unless I'm misreading and the invalid ID is the new CCM.

Does the CCM need to be matched to the vehicle, or am I just missing the proper way to clear the code?

If you read and disconnected the battery this would not have happened
Code will clear with the right tool(VIDA)

You must pull your hair seeing missed step like "not disconnecting the battery".
Not obvious to many Jim.

Well thanks for all your help. "If you read" you'd see I purchased a dice tool and therefore have Vida, but couldn't figure out how to clear codes. So I plugged away at it and google provided some friendlier responses.

Airbag light cleared.
