Has anyone removed the headliner?

I've decided to start sound deaden the car where ever I can get to so its more comfortable inside. Started with the doors. Next going with the firewall and hood. After that I was going to do the roof. I just can't figure out how to get the headliner off.

I have partially but not the entire headliner
IIRC it's a bitch.

I'm not sure that lining the roof with extra material will make that much of a difference, that thinnish headliner is made out of pretty good soundproofing material.
Personally, I would do all the doors completely, (floors too if desired) and all around the hatch area and rear side panels, incl. the rear floor where the spare tire resides and see how you like it.

I did that to my 2000 V70R and it made a heck of a difference!
