Lower Body Moulding Question..........

I have a 2004 XC70 and am going thru insurance for a vandalism claim. My question is when they remove the exterior lower body moulding exclusive to the XC70 can they reuse it or will new ones be put on? I was told that it is held on with double sided tape and if the rear surface of the moulding isn't smooth they won't reuse it as it may not stay on with new double sided tape. Does anyone know if the rear side of the moulding is smooth or not. Any pics? Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean here...why would you think the backside is rough?
I've reused them several times. As long as the front is fine, just use some new 3M double sided tape
