With all the rain we've been having here in Florida I have developed a water leak in the upper portion of my left tail light. I removed the tail light assy and dumped out the water but can't see any cracks or other indication as to where it may be coming from.

Any ideas? There is a spongy rubber gasket glued to where the bulb socket assy goes thru and it seems a bit flat but I can't find any place that sells just the gasket. Do I have to buy a complete tail light just to stop the leak if that's where it's coming from?

The gasket that seals the taillamp to the body is available from Volvo. -2004 upper= 9483286

It is usually not the gasket leaking - (unless the body is deformed in that area) - where the lenses are glued on leaks -

Replace the assembly or (putting on the flamesuit) drill a small hole in the bottom of the offending lens to drain the water - to make it less visible remove the assembly and drilll from the bottom up.

Ok, thanks for the reply, I'll check both options out!
