I have a dilemma with my 02. I have seen the airbag light bein light for a few weeks. I scanned the car and cleared any codes, yet the SRS codes remained. Here they are, hopefully someone can help:

SRS-E003 Configuration fault Faulty Configuration
SRS-0102 Driver Airbag Stage 2. Circuit fault.
SRS-0101 Driver Airbag Stage 1. Circuit fault.
SRS-00D6 Seat Belt Buckle, front communicatiuon fault.
SRS-00D5 SRS Lamp communication fault.
SRS-001C Driver airbag, stage 2 Resistance too high
SRS-0014 Driver airbag, stage 1 Resistance too high

I was told by the dealer that several modules had to be removed and tested at a cost of $400+ for diagnostics alone. If anyone has had this happen to them, or has information on what it could be, please let me know. Thanks a lot. Volvo for life!

YOU cannot clear airbag codes, only can be done on VIDA
Have the dealer try it, it may be nothing (now).
From the looks of it, there's probably one bad circuit/connection on the driver's side

I actually have VIDA and the DiCE tool.

Has anyone had a similar problem before?

Check wires/connector to SRS module as JRL said. Too many errors from physically different places.

Thanks everyone. I took apart the steering wheel and removed the contact reel. Inside it is a band that has 4 strips of copper wiring. I'm guessing each one serves a different function. Well, 2 of them were pretty much separated and the third was nearly gone. This must be the source of the problems.
