Yee Ha!! The price of a litre of gas has just dropped again. I am now paying &#36.55.9/litre Cdn. in Alberta compared to &#36.75.9/litre over the summer months. Although I do recall a gas war in Vancouver several months back when the price dropped to somewhere around &#36.40/litre. :o

Here in Japan, the price of a litre of gas is between &#360.73 to &#360.975. I am now paying &#360.816/litre (I asummed 1&#36(US)=120 Japanese Yen). We are also exchanging information of the price of a litre of gas on the BBS of XC club in Japan.

We're at about &#36.65/litre CAD for regular right now.

94 octane at Chevron is &#36.79 though which is what I use in the XC.

Here In Scottsdale, AZ (not a cheap place for Gas)  we are paying a wopping &#36.38 per liter.  or 1.45 per gallon, it costs me &#3629.00 to fill all 80 liters in my V70.

BTW, why does the XC only have 70 liters?

I use only Chevron with Techron (92/93 Octain) which is the highest octain rating gas in the US. As for the Techron, it is the ONLY proven fuel additive that cleans injectors well enough to be accepted by the SAE. They sell it as a seperate additive for about &#369 for a 20 gallon or 78 liter treatment or if you buy their high octain gas you get almost half the treatment level with the gas free. I add this to my tank along with the included treatment to double the power once every 1000 miles/1666 Kilo.

Do they have Chevron overseas? I saw Exxon as Esso and I know Shell is international, but I've never seen Chevron. Only in US and Canada.

kaminaga, you guys get 100 octane?! unreal, that's almost classed as racing fuel over here http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif j/k
Is the price you quote converted to USD?

Mine isn't, it's in Canadian. 94 converted is &#360.496231 USD per litre which is about &#361.88 USD per gallon.

the closes thing to 100 octain we have in the US is the &#362.90/gallon 100LL avgas.... The lead would kill the Catiletic Converter (sp?) though.

volvo calls for 91 Octain though, and I wonder if too much octain may inhibit combustion?

Lowest price I saw at a Chevron here in Scottsdale is now down to &#361.34/gallon(3.8 liters) for 93 octain .   Still not as good as the 1.12/gallon in Atlanta though.  Boy I miss the south.

I'm paying &#361.78/gallon or &#36.47/litre for 92/93 in Portland, Oregon. I was going to stop my complaining knowing how much more it costs outside of N. America, but this is the first time I've noticed fuel is cheaper in Canada.

Where's that D5 XC when you need it?!

The latest price now for Chevron 92 octain in Scottsdale is 1.25/gallon......this is nothing compared to the 1.07/gallon in Atlanta where I used to live however.

This is good to have in a slow economy, works like a tax cut.
