After reading alot about the coil spring issues that occur with age, I am thinking about replacing the springs. The rear's are corroded near the bottom. Looks like the powder coat failed and corrosion set in. Not sure about the front ones. Do any of you care to share a recommendation as to the best ones and where to buy them? Is an alignment needed if they are replaced?
Many thanks!!

Rear only, probably not but it always good to have a fresh alignment.
Where do you buy them?
Where do you think?
(Hint) Volvo dealer.
You don't have any choices, OEM Volvo are the only replacement XC springs

I did Eibachs. Way better than OEM springs in quality albeit that they do lower the car a bit.

I was referring to stock springs
Interesting, (spring above), but I would stay away from a very cheap aftermarket spring

I was able to purchase Volvo OE front coil springs for about $116 ea. at FCP Euro. Also purchased OE Sachs front struts there for about $120ish.
I will probably purchase rear OE springs & Sachs rear shocks from them too.

They also sell complete kits which cost more but includes everything.

I also like Tasca's pricing. It's all OE which I usually prefer.
I go mostly between the two and a couple other vendors to see who has best prices, free shipping, or other deals that bring the cost down.
