Guess my eyesight isn't what is used to be;-) In my reading up I don't remember there being mention of such a cap. To my old eyes it looked like part of the pulley. Thought the circle in the center was a torx bolt. Thought I had to have a special tool to fit that tight spot. Didn't have time to wait for one from IPD so I asked the local dealer. That was when I learned that it is only a cap. They knock it off and leave it off. Simple 14 mm after that. Will probably get the special tool. However, I have a 14MM line wrench that works pretty well. My combination 14s just didn't have the right angle to do the re-install.
Hope that little tidbit saves someone else a bit of hassle.
