Anyone else going?

Should be some good savings to be had, plus events all day long. Sounds like the Volvo Club of BC will be there for a showing, plus I recall last year a number of Washington Volvo Club members showed up in a group as well.

We'll be there some time in the morning.. look for the silver 01 XC with silver Thule ski racks, Canucks flag and of course the volvoXC.com window decal http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Will be sure to bring some flyers for the XC's I see there. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

PS, trying not to make this a commercial post for Docksteader Volvo, but this is definitely a worthwhile event for Volvo owners. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Caught wind of Docksteader's garage sale via their newsletter which they were kind enough to mail to me out of province. Unfortunately, we won't be in Vancouver until the following week. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

I see this Volvo V70XC 1998 you were talking about Taylor at 32k  At that price I would deliver the car myself in Vancouver, at that price I would load the car with 20 years Porto, at that price I should move in B.C.  http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/alien.gif

Drat -- I'm heading south into Oregon this weekend to explore coast line, otherwise I would head north to Vancouver for the day and could have taken in the SALE party and hot dogs http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Have a great time there and take a pic or two to show us.

Well, successful mission.
Ordered a rear skid plate (8685762) for $153.98 CAD, regular price of 227.12, and got some Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner for about 30% off.

That part number (8685762) corresponds to the one that fits the square tow hitch correct? I haven't got a hitch yet, but wanted to be prepared with the right model should I get one in the future.

Saw the 2004 mounted on Xenia wheels... quite a nice option. Personally I prefer the Tellus for it's easier cleaning and bold looks, but can see a lot of people liking the Xenia's sportier image.

Was condisidering the subwoofer for $500 (down from $700), but still have a tough time justifying at that price. Still bummed I didn't get that one on eBay for $100 http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

And Thomas, I saw the 1998 XC up close, it had a today only, sale price of $1,000 off. It's in pretty good condition, but certainly nowhere near perfect... still enthused by the fact Docksteader thiks they can sell the car at that price. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Hit up five other XC's at the event with flyers... hopefully we'll see them here.  http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

Good buy on the rear skid plate Taylor! http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif

Looking back, I figure that subwoofer on ebay seems like a bargain right about now! Sorry for the reminder Mate.  http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

I should have asked you to pick me up a bottle or two of Lexol...that stuff's pretty hard to scare up around these parts. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

aww nuts... I was going to ask before today but totally forgot until we pulled into the parking lot. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Do you know if the skid plate model I got (ie part number 8685762) the one with a smaller or shallower cut in it?

Dunno...can't tell without seeing what yours looks like. What I can tell you is that the part number is different. Invoice reads #9496986. There should be a pic of mine somewhere in the gallery. Here we go.
