Just got rear-ended. Bumper is smashed (pieces of foam falling out, plastic is cracked in a few places). The rear gate doesn't open. There is no damage to rear quarter-panels that is readily visible.

Any idea what the repair might run? Expecting a call from the insurance adjuster, want to be armed with knowledge. :-)

Thanks.

It is a 2003 XC70.

Got rear-ended in December in the T-5. Car was driveable. No problems with liftgate. No fender damage. Rear muffler damaged. Floor was found to be damaged, when they got it apart. New bumper cover on rear, plus other miscellaneous parts, repairs and paint (including some on front bumper - I was pushed into the car in front of me) came to $4,000.

With a liftgate opening issue...it may be more...
