A car with 90,000 miles and no maintenance history or a car with 125,000 miles but lots of maintenance records? How about a car with 70,000 miles and no maintenance history? Just wondering where the cut off is for you on something like this. I'm looking for a nice used S60 to keep my XC70 company...LOL

With many cars it's not as important, but with Volvo it is
If you don't change the oil A LOT, by the time 90K rolls around you will probably be having issues.
At 70-90K suspension pieces start to break
Etc
Etc
Etc

Remember that super clean 2003 S60 I posted last week for $7,375 with 124,000? The seller will not budge on his price at all. I offered $6,500 but he would not take it. I'm looking at several S60's that are all on the clean side but most have no records except this guy. He said he just had his shop look the car over before listing it forsale and they fixed an axle seal, both rear leaking struts and one other thing I forget. He says there was not another single problem with the car and is near perfect in all aspects.

I found a clean 2004 S60 with 90,000 miles but the tranny fluid looked like light gray water. No red at all. I drove it and heard lots of odd noises that my well maintained XC70 does not make. The interior was superb though.

What do you think JRL? I just don't want to buy a money pit.
