I'm actually at 69k miles. This car gets a lot of driving in, it had 26k in February 11 when purchased used. I don't see a recommended transmission flush interval anywhere and the dealer said they don't change the fluid unless it shows signs of distress. Is a transmission flush a good idea on this car? I'd have it done at a professional transmission shop so there is no worries there. I've always had this service done on my other vehicles according to the manufacturer's recommendations, but as I said they seem to be lacking.

52.5K if used in fleet or taxi service is what my OM says.

70K? I would do it right away...personal opinion is that 30K is a good interval for the flush...50K is bit longer than I would like to go...

You should do a transmission flush every 30,000 miles. Use the gibbons method if you do it yourself or bring it to a shop

72,000 miles and I just flushed my '07xc. It was running great before. I opted for the flush and I know it's my imagination but the cars seems to run better. A little snappier off the line and a little smoother overall. I know that it is in my head, but I am really happy I did it. After doing drain and fills on older xc's, this was a pleasure. Like previously stated, don't wait.

Slips, forget to ask how the rest of it is holding up? That's a lot of miles in roughly 6 months.
Get it done at an Indy Volvo repair shop. Do not waste time and risk your tranny to any other type of shop.
