Thought I'd start a record of repairs thread that owners' have been done since owning their XC70s.
This list does not include services such as oil changes, bulb replacements or mods.
I'd like to see what replaced items are a common denominator.
I'll go first.

Fuel tank senders
Clutch Master Cylinder
Brake Booster
Front LCA bushes
Top engine mount bush
Sunroof accordion

2001 xc70 103k miles. I've only owned the car for a year. So far it runs great and I love it. Awesome in the snow.

-Timing belt

-New radiator after a crazy pitbull jumped from an open jeep in front of me. This is why you should leave the bottom engine cover on your car. No damage to the body but the pitbulls head must have clipped the bottom corner of the radiator. Pitbull somehow survived.

Fairly recent owner here... 2.5 months.
MY05 with 185,000 KM. Very well maintained.
I replaced a ball-joint (not urgent but border-line), and did the fuel pump module relocation.
Love the car. Still drive new.

Service:
All 4 brake rotors and pads (Akebono, Brembo)

Rear differential oil change (mobil 1 75W90)
Brake fluid flushes (every 2 years, ATE fluid)
PS fluid change and filter (magnefine added)
Tires (Yokohama, and now Nokian)

About to do (parts arrived, need the time)

Let me see:

Bought an '06 used with 80,000kms

@85,000kms (2 months of ownership!):
- front wheel bearings
- inner/outer tie rods
- steering rack (seals gone - discovered while doing the first two repairs)
- new rad (discovered while replacing the steering rack)
- new tires (Nokian WR G2 SUV to replace the Scorpions)

@ 90,000kms
- engine tune-up (plugs, wires etc.)
- transmission flush
- excess engine noise diagnosed as a seal gone in the firewall - could spend big $$$$ just trying to find it, but the mechanic said don't bother and enjoy the turbo noise.

@ 100,000kms
- new brake pads & rotors, replace brake fluid

@110,000kms
- new front shocks, ball joints, alignment (actually bought an entire front suspension kit from FCP and had my local Volvo independent go through the whole thing and replace as necessary... so I still have a big box o'parts at home, waiting for their day)
- been informed that I should replace the tires (hard rubber)
