Airbag Replaced - Any Cause for Concern?

I am considering a 2010 XC70 as a possible replacement for our '02. According to the Carfax report, the left air bag (I am assuming driver's side) was replaced after the car was in service for one month. The service was performed by a Volvo dealership. The engine/powertrain computer module was checked at the same time. There is nothing else notable in the report aside from routine maintenance.

Is there any rational reason to avoid this car? Is there any way the functionality of the airbag could have been compromised?

Why not ask that dealer?
Carfax usually says who did the work.

Call the service dept, (preferably the service manager) give them (him) the VIN.
Ask nicely that you have a big concern and would they (he) give you any answer as to why this was replaced
