Noticed a rubbing sound (constant ssh, no clicking or rhythm) from driver front wheel area when steering slightly to left. Further to left, it disappears, and can't hear anything when steeing to right. Just checked around wheels to see if there was anything caught there but couln't see anything. My first thought was the wheel bearing. Anyone got any idea what it could be? I was planning on heading out on a longish trip in the next few days and am now a little apprehensive :(

Also, just checked power steering fluid level and found cold level a little less than it should be. Topped it up and will go for a test drive shortly.

Besides looking at the wheel bearing, also take a close look at the wear pattern on the pads. Had a jammed pad in the rear that made rubbing sounds with slight turns. The pad jammed due to a incorrectly manufactured bracket (pad ears jammed in the bracket because not enough space)
