I have a 2005 Volvo XC70 with 111k miles. The front rotors were warped so I purchased a set of Brembo OE replacements along with a set of Jurid brake pads. After changing the brakes (only 60 or so miles since) the brake pedel seems soft and takes more force to stop the car than it did with the old brakes. Could air have formed in the system when I pushed the calipers back in? I know it will take a couple 100 miles to break in completely, but I believe they should feel better than they do now. Any thoughts?

Take a look at the caliper spring on the front that you changed and the back. I have a feeling you may have put the spring on incorrectly (common mistake everyone has made) and that is why you have the weird feeling in the pedal!

Yep... Springs... Search the threads... There are pics that show how they should go back on (it isn't easy)..

Thank you for the answer...that was exactly what the problem was. Repositioned the springs and the brakes are back to how they should be.
